Blending in to your surroundings; it’s important if you’re hunting, or trying to stay alive. By not being seen you can also traverse areas safely. This is also referred to as being a Gray Man in post SHTF situations. Especially if you live in an Urban or even Suburban area this is very important. While Realtree Hardwoods camo pattern works great for out in the woods it stands out like a sore thumb in the urban areas. Likewise the Urban camo pattern doesn’t help blend well when walking down the street, and just draws attention. You goal is to be just another face in the crowd.
In the article I have linked to, the author talks about the proper way to blend in to an urban setting and how to proceed through it. It is appropriately named Urban Camouflage, but doesn’t advocate wearing a camouflage pattern at all. This is one of the best descriptions of how to blend into an urban setting that I have read. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
